I’m curious about how things work: people, systems, and the stories behind them.
My interests sit at the intersection of growth, media, business, and technology, and I’ve spent most of my career exploring that from different angles.
I started out as a chartered accountant, became a multi-award-winning journalist, and now work in marketing. Along the way, I’ve dabbled in building with WordPress and spent a year exploring machine learning and AI before it became mainstream.
Today, I lead marketing at Startbutton, where we help companies expand across Africa without setting up local entities. I also advise startups on brand and product marketing — helping them position clearly, launch well, and grow.
I’m currently pursuing an MBA at the University of East London.
Previously, I was Editor-in-Chief at Condia, where I led editorial, operations, and monetisation. Before that, I was a Senior Reporter at TechCabal, covering the business of technology in Africa — from startups to big tech, including investigative work.
Outside of work, I watch and play football, read, and spend a lot of time on YouTube.
I’m usually working on a few things at once.
This is my personal blog, where I talk about how I see the world, what happens in my world or the world at large and what I’m learning. I hope you’ll join the conversation.

I want to meet you
This is a standing invitation: if you want to talk about marketing media, human behaviour, business, tech or any other random topic related to something I wrote about, I want to talk to you.
I like reading things. If you write something worth reading, tell me. It might take a while to read it or get back to you, or maybe I’d never get to read it but all that cost you was a two-line email.
Make yourself at home, and say hi if you see me somewhere or on any social media platform. My handle is @danieltadeyemi, or shoot me an email at danieltadeyemi (no space) at gmail. I’d be glad to reply.
This invitation was inspired by Trevor Mckendrick’s own, You should do it too 🙂
